Duties

Visual artists employ a variety of media, from pencils to photos to computer graphics, to communicate the beauty they see in animals.  Their work can impact others by appearing in  books, magazines, web sites, and fine art galleries and private collections.  Some artists expand their reach by teaching, writing, and serving as artists-in-residence.

Education and Background

Artists can pursue college degrees in their field, attend art school and artist retreats, take workshops, and work as apprentices to senior artists.  Formal training is especially helpful for artists who want to teach or write.
