The purpose of this seminar is to prepare participants to implement organizational-level strategies to analyze the processes by which human resources management (HRM) handles the various business functions in an efficient and effective manner.

Upon successful completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Assess and analyze organizational strategic approaches
  • Analyze the HR impact of organizational strategies
  • Develop an HR strategy aligned with the organizational strategy
  • Communicate an HR strategy to the "C" suite
  • Understand how to implement HR strategies
  • Learn how to evaluate HR strategies

Paul Shibelski has an MBA with Human Resource Management focus from American University, where he also implemented the graduate program in Strategic Human Resource Management. He has been an instructor for the SHRM Learning System since 1995, offering the PHR/SPHR preparation course to over 3,000 participants. He is former Maryland State Director for SHRM and is currently the Maryland State Council Certification Director. Previously, Paul was a manager and HR Effectiveness leader in the advisory Washington Federal Practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and currently heads the Human Capital Programs Practices at Crown Consulting, Inc. in Washington, DC.
