Most shelters have found it is not a problem getting people to help with animals, for that we can be very thankful.  The majority of new volunteers walking into a shelter are thinking, “What could be more fun than playing with puppies?”  What we will try to cover in this session of Volunteer Management is not to eliminate the enthusiasm of new volunteers but to recruit the “right” volunteers for the “right “position and, hopefully, curb the revolving door of volunteers.

• Validating volunteer commitment
• Recruiting corporate volunteers
